	THE SECOND WORLD WAR BEGAN IN ASIA The International Scientific Conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of victory in the battle of Khalkhin Gol has recently taken place in Irkutsk. 	INCONSTANT, BUT PROMISING Scientists from academic institutions of the Tomsk Scientific Center have repeatedly been given the highest award – V.A. Koptyug Prize.
