1. General statements

   The Technical Committee (hereafter refereed to as "The Committee") was formed by the Participants of the Agreement for operative and coordinated implementation of technical measures, stipulated by the Project "Euromath Network and Services for the New Independent States'', Phase II --- EmNet/NIS/II in Siberia and Far East region of Russia.

2. Tasks of the Committee

   The main tasks of the Committee are:

   1. Provision of the Project participants with the information about the current state of the Project realization;
   2. Agreed solution of technical problems associated with the Project realization;
   3. Organization and conducting of technical questions associated with accumulation and exploitation of information resources.;
   4. Preparation of technical suggestions on development of information resources.

3. Committee functions

   Committee realizes the following functions:

   1. The Committee prepares specifications on equipment and software;

   2. Prepares projects of calendar plans of work and estimates of expenses;

   3. Prepares projects of technical tasks and contracts with executive organizations;

   4. Coordinates and realizes work on accumulation and use of information resources.;

4. Committee staff

   Technical Committee is appointed by Project Scientific Council from among specialists in the area of creation and exploitation of information resources and telecommunication systems.

5. The Committee is under the direction of the Project Technical Coordinator.
