The purposes of the EmNet project are to provide a team-work and open exchange of ideas between the mathematicians by means of computer engineering and network technologies. EmNet/NIS (EmNet/NIS: Euromath Network and Services for the New Independent States.) is a part of EmNet and is to help in solution of information and communication problems, occurring to the mathematicians from the mathematical organizations of Siberia and the Far East. By no means is the Project intended directly for the mathematical investigations. The Project is open for entrance to noncommercial organizations, i.e. research institutes and universities.
The Project Director : Professor Flemming Topsoe - EmNet/NIS Coordinator, EuroMath Center, Institute of Mathematics of Copenhagen.
The Project Coordinator for Siberia and the Far East: Academician Yu.I. Shokin, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The Project Technical Coordinator for Siberia and the Far East : Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Professor A.M. Fedotov, Institute of Computational Technologies SB RAS.
