History of Institute
Deology department was faunded as a part of Byriat complex scientific Institute (BCAI) in 1958. Then BCSI was transformed in Byriat Department of Siberian Division of the USSA Academy of Sciences. Buryat Geological Institute of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences was established in aipril 1973 on the base of Deology department.
The first director of the Institute was F.P. Krendelev. In 1980 notid scientist professor N.L.Doretsov (now is the academision) was assigned as a director, then E.G.Konnikov - from 1989 up to 1985 and A.G.Mironov - from 1995 up to now.
