History of Institute
The Buryat Institute of Biology SD RAS was established in 1981 on the base of the Department of Biology of the Buryat Branch of the SD RAS. duard Leonardovich Klimashevsky, corresponding member of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences Named after V. I. Lenin, D. Sc. (Biology), was appointed the first director of the Institute.
Our Institute is engaged in research on significant problems of ecology, soil studies, agrochemistry, zoology, parasitology, forest studies, microbiology, and Tibetan medicine.
