Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the RAS

History

The Institute was founded in 1957 by Academician Sergei Sobolev.
From 1984 to 1986 director was Academician Sergei K. Godunov.
From 1987 to august 2002 director was Academician Mikhail M. Lavrent'ev.
From 2002 to april 2011 director was Academician Yurii L. Ershov.
At present the Institute is directed Academician Sergey S. Goncharov.
