Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Siberian Branch of the RAS

History

The Institute was founded in 1960 on the base of the Irkutsk Magneto-Ionospheric Station and Irkutsk Bureau of Radio Forecast. The base for the Station was the Magneto-Meteorological Observatory founded in 1885-1886. On February 11, 1992 the Institute was renamed.
