	IRON IN RUSSIA WILL BE ENOUGH FOR ABOUT THREE HUNDRED YEARS, BUT GEOLOGISTS MAY DISAPPEAR Fundamental monograph "Iron-ore base of Russia", is awarded to the superior State Prize of Russian Federation in the field of science and engineering.
	THE INSTITUTE OF HIGH CURRENT ELECTRONICS IS 25 The Institute of High Current Electronics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been opened in September, 1977.

	66 HOURS OF GEOMETRY The International School-Conference on Geometry and Analysis dedicated to memory of outstanding Russian mathematician Aleksandr Danilovich Aleksandrov (1912- 1999) has been opened on September 9 at the Small Hall of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS and is held at the S.L.Sobolev Institute of Mathematics.
	"LASER METROLOGY..." The 7-th International Symposium "Laser metrology in science, industry and day- to-day life" held in Novosibirsk from September 9 to September 13 has finished the work.
	STATUSES AND OTHER INTERESTING REPORTS The 14th Russian Conference on utilization of synchrotron radiation has been successfully held at the G.I.Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics of the SB RAS.
	INDIVISIBLE EDUCATIONAL SPACE OF RUSSIA From September 9 to September 11 the All-Russian scientific and practical exhibition conference "Unified educational information environment: the problems and pathways of development" has been held at the Tomsk State University.
	FORUM OF OIL INDUSTRY WORKERS AT THE TPU Two-day forum of oil industry workers has been held at the Tomsk Polytechnic University.
	COOPERATION OF THEORISTS AND EXPERIMENTERS One of the strategic fields of material science is presented by nanodimentional and gradient materials with unusual transport and magnetic properties used for creation of functional electronic devices with a high degree of integration. The symposium "Physics and chemistry of perspective materials" was devoted to problems in this field.
	LASTING CONTACTS WITH TURKISH COLLEAGUES
	TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF COAL-MINING BRANCH August 29, 2002 under the chairmanship of the President of Russian Federation V.Putin the session of the Presidium of the State Council of Russian Federation has been held in Mezhdurechensk City of the Kemerovo Region.
