	GENERAL MEETING OF THE RAS From December, 16 to December 18, session "Science for man’s health" of the Joint General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences will be held in Moscow with participation of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Russian Academy of Arts.

This conference traditionally gathers the winners of competitive examination of young scientists, the leaders of the Siberian Branch.
	4TH ALL-RUSSIAN CONFERENCE OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS ON MATHEMATICAL MODELING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES From November, 3 to November, 5 the 4th All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists on mathematical modeling and information technologies has taken place in Krasnoyarsk.
	ACADEMIC PRESENTATION: ECOLOGY AND SAFETY "Ecology and safety": under such a motto regularly scheduled presentation of novel and working devices, elaborations and technologies of the SB RAS Institutes most ready for using by industrial enterprises of Novosibirsk has been held.
	SUCCESSES AND PROBLEMS OF INNOVATIONS The problems of environment, heat supply and energy efficiency are especially actual in Siberia. A number of the works concerning these problems are carried out in the Kuzbass Regional Laboratory of Applied Thermophysics of the Institute of Thermophysics of the SB RAS.
	REGIONAL CENTER OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN TOMSK An opening of the Tomsk Regional Center of distance education has taken place at the Tomsk State University.
	TO VINDICATE UNIVERSITIES The Governor of Tomsk Region Victor Kress has entrusted to renew the sessions of the working group for the reform of the Higher School.

	IN MEMORY OF COLLEAGUE November 27, twelve days prior to the 69th anniversary, one of the founders of the Tomsk scientific school of cybernetics, Vice-chairman of the Presidium of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS, professor of the TUCSR Vladimir Petrovich Tarasenko has died.
