	TWO DECREES CONCERNING SCIENTIFIC YOUTH SIGNED BY THE RF PRESIDENT ON THE EVE OF THE DAY OF RUSSIAN SCIENCE
	GENERAL MEETING OF THE RAS TO BE HELD IN MAY
	SESSION OF THE BUREAU OF THE COMMITTEE OF DIRECTORS OF THE RAS INSTITUTES February, 1 a session of the Bureau of the Committee of Directors of the RAS Institutes has taken place in Moscow. We publish the decision reached there.
	OPENING THE DAYS OF SCIENCE The third year running on the eve of the Day of Science, press conference "The role of science in the development of Siberia" is held at the District Information Center "Siberia".
	STARTING FOR INNOVATIONS General Director of the Foundation for Assistance to Development of Small-scale Enterprises in the field of science and engineering Ivan Bortnik and Director of the Innovation Technology Center of the Technopark “Novosibirsk", the Plenipotentiary of the Foundation in the Siberian Federal District Sergei Golushko have met in Irkutsk with the specialists of higher education institutions, scientific research institutes, Regional Administration and business elite.
	MEETINGS ON THE DAY OF SCIENCE At the institutes of Mining and of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the SB RAS.
	TOUCHING THE ANTIQUITY Open Days become already traditional have been held before the Day of Russian Science in many Institutes of the Siberian Branch. Meetings with scientists, lectures on different subjects, excursions to laboratories, departments and sectors have been organized for schoolchildren of the Soviet District and for all who interested. Similar actions have taken place at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, too.
	WATER LILIES BLOSSOM THERE EVEN IN WINTER February, 8, on the Day of Russian Science, “alertness number one” has been declared since the very morning in all the laboratories of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics: there should be excursions continuously, up to the working day to be over.
	GREETINGS FROM THE CREATORS OF THE FUTURE On the Day of Science unusual buoyancy reigned at the Institute of Semiconductor Physics. Hundreds schoolchildren and students came there at the Open Day.
	IT’S POSSIBLE TO CREATE THE CENTER ON A LEVEL WITH THE HIGHEST WORLD STANDARDS On the occasion of the Day of Russian Science, at the Institutes of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS, Open Days for schoolchildren and students, Institute’s scientific sessions on results of the last year and solemn meetings where the best researchers are rewarded, traditionally are held at the least within a week.
	THE TOMOGRAPHY CENTER: WEEKDAYS AND PROSPECTS The word "tomography" is taken by people as a name of an ultramodern method of medical diagnostics that allows "to X-ray" an organism without taking any doze of x-ray irradiation. Such representation is slightly one-sided, but, in general, correct.
	SIBERIAN INDUSTRY OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS From March, 10 to March, 12, 2005 the Second Regional Forum "Siberian industry of information systems" will be held in Novosibirsk.
	OUR SCIENTIFIC NEIGHBOURS Traditional review of the newspapers of the Far East Branch of the RAS "Far East Scientist" and of the Ural Branch of the RAS "Science of Ural".
	OWNERSHIP OF INFORMATION February, 2 at the Novosibirsk Academgorodok a seminar concerning copyright has been held, organized by the Branch of German Book Information Center.
