	COLLATING THE PLANS One of these days the "SiS" editorial office was visited by the first Vice- President of the SB RAS Academician Vyacheslav Ivanovich Molodin. Over a cup of tea a conversation has taken place concerning the basic directions of the newspaper work, coverage of the problems exciting the public of the SB RAS.
	WE BUILD A FEDERATIVE STATE Eugenia Kolomak, young Doctor Sc. (Economics), leading scientific researcher of the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering, is one of the winners in the competition «The best economists of the RAS» of 2006 declared by the Foundation for the assistance to domestic science.
	THE ABEL PRIZE FOR LENNART CARLESON The Academy of Sciences of Norway has awarded the Abel Prize for 2006 to Swedish mathematician Lennart Carleson «for an important and fruitful contribution to harmonic analysis and theory of smooth dynamic systems».
