	ON THE ELECTION TO THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES All the 2005 the Academy of Sciences was shaken by the events connected with its reorganization. An understanding that it is necessary to undertake all the measures for it’s rejuvenation, for the reduction of the number of pensioners, for the increase in the number of the researchers who are truly engaged in basic research, for the separation of promotional and innovation activities from the really fundamental has finally come to the RAS under the influence of the Ministry of Education and Science.
