	ON THE COMPETITION FOR THE ACADEMICIAN V.A.KOPTIUG PRIZE Resolution of the Presidium of the SB RAS.
	ON THE COMPETITION OF THE WORKS FOR THE RF GOVERNMENTAL PRIZES IN THE FIELD OF THE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING Interdepartmental Council for the awarding the RF Governmental Prizes in the field of science and engineering has announced the Competition-2007 of the works for the RF Governmental Prizes in the field of science and engineering.
	THE SB RAS PRESIDIUM MEETING The first in this year meeting of the Presidium of the SB RAS of January, 11 has been opened with the minute of silence in memory of Academician V.Koptiug died on January, 10, 1997.

	TO SOLAR FIELD OF THE ISTP OF THE SB RAS IS 50 2006 marks fifty years from the beginning of the works in the solar field at the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the SB RAS. Being started «from a clean sheet» at the Irkutsk Complex Magnetoionosphere Station, today they are perfected to an up-to-date level.
	THE PHENOMENON OF KANTOROVICH January, 19, 2007 marks the 95th anniversary from the birthdate of Leonid Vitalievich Kantorovich. The creation of the mathematical theory of the best use of resources has brought him the Nobel Prize in the field of economics, and has glorified Russian domestic science and became the subject of pride of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences.
	THE FOUNDER OF PRACTICAL COSMONAUTICS January, 12 marks the 100th anniversary from the birthdate of Chief Designer of the first space-rocket systems Academician Sergei Pavlovich Korolev, the person who has beaten the track to Space for our country.
	GLOBAL ENERGY OF YOUNG PEOPLE According the results of the «Global Energy» competition among the youth projects, a group of the researchers of the Tomsk Polytechnic University has won. The results have been declared at the Central House of Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
	REGIONAL AWARDS FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS 69 young scientists of the Novosibirsk Region are awarded with separate Regional Administration prizes for substantial contribution to the development fundamental and applied sciences.
	THE LEV SANDAKHCHIEV PRIZE January, 12 five young scientists have won the Science-town Koltsovo Prize that since this year is named after the founder of the "Vector", Academician Lev Sandakhchiev.
	ON THE COMPLEX EXAMINATION OF THE FAR EAST BRANCH OF THE RAS From September, 4 to September, 9, 2006 the complex examination of scientific, scientific organization as well as financial and economic activities of the FEB the RAS has been held. The commission under the chairmanship of Academician N.Dobretsov has analyzed the work of institutes, the organizations of scientific service and of the social sphere, located in Vladivostok, as well as the departments of the Presidium of the FEB of the RAS.
