	AMONG THE BEST MATHEMATICIANS OF OUR COUNTRY March, 4 the Deputy director of the Institute for System Dynamics and Control Theory of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, Corresponding Member of the RAS, Doctor Sc. (Physics and Mathematic) Professor Alexandr Aleksandrovich Tolstonogov is 70.
	THE SB RAS PRESIDIUM MEETING At the next session of the Presidium of the Branch of February, 25 the steadfast attention was given to mining sciences.
	"ROMAN DEEDS" BY ELENA ROMODANOVSKAYA At the end of 2009 the Director of the Institute of Philology of the SB RAS the Corresponding Member of the RAS Elena Konstantinovna Romodanovskaya was awarded with the D.S.Likhachev Prize for her work "Roman deeds in Russia ".
	WE HAVE SOMETHINGS TO BE PROUD OF! February 19 in Moscow, at the Committee for Education and Science of the Council of Federation, a session of the Advisory Council for history, archeology and adjacent scientific fields has taken place. Lyudmila Valentinovna Lbova, Doctor Sc. History, Leading scientific researcher, head of scientific education department of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the SB RAS, Professor of the Archeology and Ethnography faculty of the Novosibirsk State Uiversity reported at this session.
	TO ACHIEVE THE RECOGNITION, ONE SHOULD DO EVERYTHIND WITH STRAIGHT A Alla Arkadievna Shcheglova is one of few women in the Siberian Branch, who risked to be on equal terms with men in the field of science that they consider to be by no means female one.
	THEIR NAMES FLATTERING EAR... We are adjusting for a celebratory wave... And at once all the kind words spoken about women are emerging from memory: in verses, in prose, in the last life and at present. "Their names flatter ear", as it was noticed once.
	A FAVOURITE WORK IS HAPPINESS On the eve of March, 8 we have met (and had a talk) with a surprising woman – geologist, Candidate of sciences, leading specialist of the Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, one of the favorite teachers of the students of the GGF of the NSU Lyudmila Galerievna Vakulenko.
	ETHNOSOCIAL LANDSCAPE OF CITY SPACE In January a meeting with young scientists of the SB RAS who have won the grants of the of the Novosibirsk City Administration in 2009 for the research in different fields of science was held at the Administration of the Soviet District of the Novosibirsk. There is a youth group of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the SB RAS among the grant-receivers.
	A BIG, AMICABLE FAMILY There is a big, amicable Romanov family in the picture. The elder Romanovs Vladimir Gavrilovich and Nina Dmitrievna. He is a Corresponding Member of the RAS, half a century working in the Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch, a deserved and respected person. She is a pensioner nowadays (it is formal) forty years working in the field of national education.
	SEARCHING FOR IMPERCEPTIBLE SPECIES Candidate Sc. (Chemistry) senior researcher Olga Borisovna Morozova works in the International Tomographyc Center since the moment it has been founded (1993).
	CLOSE LOOKING AT AQUATIC ECOSYSTEMS Balzhit Batoevna Bazarova is Candidate Sc. (Biology), Senior researcher of the Laboratory of aquatic ecosystems of the Institute of Natural Resources, Ecology and Cryology of the SB RAS.
	BOOK RICHES OF OMSK Ancient and rarity editions since XVII century are collected at the department of rare books of the Pushkin Omsk State Scientific Library.
	THE DAYS OF SCIENCE - 2010 The Days of Science in the SB RAS were held truly in a Siberian manner; forty- degree frost has not broken the plans of events and almost did not lowered the attendance. Hundreds of schoolchildren, students and post-graduates have visited the Institutes with excursions.
	INNOVATIONS, HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE February, judging according to a calendar, is an especially scientific month. February, 8 traditionally marks the Day of Russian science. An event that we would like to be presented the readers in more detail consists in a working meeting of the RF President the RF Minister of Education and Sciences held February, 17.
	RusScience SUMMED UP the WORK FOR 2009 February, 25, 2010 an annual meeting "On the results of RusScience working in 2009 and the tasks for 2010"has taken place at the RusScience under the presidency of the Head of Federal Agency for Science and Innovations S.N.Mazurenko.
	LAVRETNIEV’S BREAKTHROUGH March, 2 a public opening of the project " Lavrentiev’s breakthrough " has taken place with the participation of the Novosibirsk Regional Governor Victor Tolokonski at the Large Hall of the Regional Administration building.
	QUALIFIED PERSONNEL FOR INNOVATION ECONOMY February, 25 in the Novosibirsk on an education-and-demonstration center for training experts for innovational enterprises of the Siberian Region has been opened on the base of the Experimental plant of the SB RAS.
	LET'S FILL OUR HEARTS WITH MUSIC! Perhaps, one hardly would argue: music is the state of soul. But in order to these strings begin timely sounding, good instructors are required. A family, certainly, influences the spiritual development, too. However, only the workers, instructors who themselves devoted entirely their life to music and to the development of the creativity in the young are able to learn and to give true musical knowledge.
	"NUTCRACKER", A FAIRY TALE FROM THE CHILDHOOD The kindergarten № 120 with a fantastic name "Nutcracker" supervised by Svetlana Aleksandrovna Zaporozhko lives in a close union between adults and children.
	FENCING, KNIGHTLY SPORTS Please, get acquainted: Lubov Shutova, an alumnus of the "Victoria" fencing club in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok, the only Russian who has become a world champion in epee fencing.
	A REPORT DEVOTED TO THE TOPIC: "WOMAN", AN INCOGNIZABLE PHENOMENON Similarly to space and time, the phenomenon of Woman belongs to eternal categories, at all the times being at the center of gravity with respect to children, men, poets and scientists. The problem of knowledge of the Woman is a corner-stone in the base of civilizations.
	VACANCIES
	ON THE OCCASION OF THE 65th ANNIVERSARY FROM THE DATE OF THE VICTORY February, 24, 2010 a press conference of the head of Soviet District Administration A.A.Gordienko has taken place at the administrative building of the Soviet District of Novosibirsk devoted to the topic "Preparation for celebrating 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War".
	DEVOTED TO THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE VICTORY The Presidium of the RAS has taken a decision on the preparation of the collection of memoirs of the members of the RAS – the participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 who work in the institutions of the RAS.
	WE REMEMBER HIM TO BE LIKE THIS… On the occasion of the 70th anniversary from the birth date of professor N.B.Chimitdorzhieva (23.02.1940 - 30.12.1992).
