	POLES - RESEARCHERS OF SIBERIA The exhibition devoted to the contribution made by Polish researchers to studying Siberia, has been opened at the Exhibition Center of the SB RAS on July 5, 2010.

	HONOURABLE PROFESSOR OF THE ODESSA UNIVERSITY This rank has been given to Corresponding Member of the RAS I.G.Neizvestnyi (the Rzhanov Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the SB RAS) for the outstanding contribution to the development of education and science.
	SYMPOSIUM DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF ACADEMICIAN LOGACHEV The All-Russian Symposium with participation of foreign scientists "Cenozoic Continental Rifting», dedicated to the memory of Academician Nikolai Alekseevich Logachev in connection with the 80th anniversary of his birth, has been held in Irkutsk from June 7 through June 11.

	TWO PORTRAITS - TWO DESTINIES A number of catalogues reproducing five portraits of Alexander Grigorjevich Varnek, an artist of the first third of XIX century, have been brought to the Library of the Novosibirsk Art Museum at the end of 2009. Among them are portraits of two young men in the officer uniform - Alexander Stroganov and Vladimir Apraksin.
