	SAMOILOVSKY ISLAND IS PREPARING FOR THE FIRST WINTER The SB RAS Committee has taken part in commissioning of the research station on the island of Samoilovsky at the delta of Lena River.
	ARCTIC TROOPERS The Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics of SB RAS has in recent years been involved in the large-scale geological survey of northern hard-to-reach and least explored areas of the country to evaluate the prospects of oil-and-gas potential of the Russian sector of the Arctic sea shelves and adjacent areas in Western and Eastern Siberia.
