	TO OPENING A NEW NAME-BEARING REACTION The 2012 Nesmeyanov Prize has been awarded to scientists of the A.E. Favorsky Irkutsk Institute of Chemistry of SB RAS. This prize is awarded to national scientists for outstanding works in the field of chemistry of organoelement compounds.
	LAVRENTIEV AND GENETICS November 19 marks 112 years since the birth of Mikhail Alekseevich Lavrentiev. The life of this amazing person - great scientist, brilliant organizer and outstanding personality - has long been part of history.
	SOME PAGES FROM THE MEMOIRS OF FIRST SECRETARY The outgoing 2012 has been marked by several anniversaries in the Novosibirsk history: the 75th anniversary of the Novosibirsk Region, the 55th anniversary of the SB RAS. Against the general festive background, the date of the 90th birth anniversary of Alexander Filatov has not been very noticeable. He was a man who for more than a quarter century headed at first the City Party Committee, and later the Regional Party Committee in Novosibirsk.

Stolypin’s reforms in the social and economic development of Asian Russia” has been hosted by the Baikal Institute of Nature Management of SB RAS with the support of P.A. Stolypin Heritage Studies Fund has taken place in Ulan-Ude on November 7.
	JOURNAL, AS NECESSARY AS THE BREATH OF YOUR NOSTRILS The scientific journal “Atmospheric and Ocean Optics” published in the Tomsk Scientific Center has marked its 25th anniversary, joining the list of 2012 outstanding dates.
	“Pisces-XI” HAS BECOME AN EXHIBIT OF BAIKAL MUSEUM The deep vessel «Pisces-XI» made its last dive into the waters of the glorious sea in 1991. Today, 21 years later, the “Pisces-XI” returned to the shore of Lake Baikal to become the museum exhibit.
