May 14, Sunday – arrival, registration, excursion (included into the fee). If you wish to arrive on May 13 – the hotel will be booked for you.
May 15-17, Monday-Wednesday – conference working days
May 17, Wednesday, 20.30 or 21.00 – departure to Crete by ferry*
May 18, Thursday – for those who do not participate in post-Symposium: excursion Argolida (does not included into the fee, 88 Euro with lunch)**
May 18, Thursday, morning – post-Symposium registration
May 18, Thursday, 14.00 - post-Symposium opening
May 18, 19, Thursday, Friday - post-Symposium working days
May 20, Saturday – excursion to SPINALONGA Island (does not included into the fee, 55 Euro)***
May 21, Sunday – excursion to Knoss Palace, Archaeological Palace in Iraklion (does not included into the fee, 57 Euro)****
There is a daily ferry connection between Athens and Crete (duration of the trip 8-9 hours), as well as daily air-connection, so it’s possible to depart any time after the post-Symposium closing. For those who wish to stay on Crete on May 20, 21 without participation in the excursions - the hotel will be guaranteed.

**Argolida (Full day)
***Spinalonga
You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the town of Elounda.
Enjoy a boat ride across to the island of Spinalonga. Spinalonga is a small island with an exceptional interesting history.
The Venetian Fortress, which still stands, was built in 1579 and it protected the entire gulf. You will spend the rest of the day swimming while your lunch is
prepared - a charcoaled barbeque along with Greek salads, wine and fruit on the beach. You will be brought back to your hotel at the end of the evening.
****Knossos
Amongst all the "ancient ruins" in Crete Knossos is the archeological site that is a must-see in order to understand the
greatness of the Minoan Civilization. The tour takes you to the island's capital, Iraklio, and from there onto the village of
Knossos where you will be led through the ruins of the ancient palace complex: the labyrinth, galleries and rooms of the Palace, and the Royal
Palace of King Minos. The excursion continues to Iraklio's Archeological Museum, one of the most important museums in the world, housing all the
original pieces from Knossos, as well as the findings and treasures from all the archeological sites in Crete including frescoes, intricate gold jewelry and
engraved linguistic tablets of the period. Return back to your hotel in the early afternoon.
