Contents:

The international conference “Mathematical Methods in Geophysics-2003” will be held in Akademgorodok (in the vicinity of Novosibirsk), October 8-12, 2003. The Conference is devoted to the 75th birthday of A.S. Alekseev, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, and will cover important mathematical problems of modern geophysics.

Registration:

Registration of participants will take place at the hotel “Golden Valley”, Akademgorodok, on October 7 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at the House of Scientists on October 8 from 9:00. The registration fee for foreign participants is 250$, which covers the Conference Proceeding cost, rent of the conference hall, coffee breaks, and social program.

Programm Committee:

Working languages of the Conference are English and Russian.

Conference fee is 250$(USA) without any banking charges. It covers the costs of Conference Proceedings, rent of the conference hall, equipment, transport, social program, communications, and stationery.

in the electronic form: LaTeX - file, article or ncc styles. For the papers prepared in the Russian language -- Windows-1251 encoding.

ncc- style is available at CTAN: ncctools- and ncclatex- collections are found by searching (key words).

The size of a paper should be no more than 6 pages. The size of the text field -- 125 by 200 mm. The basic font -- 11 pt. No more than 2 figures are allowed.

Figures should be submitted in two versions: a draft for printing (option:draft=true) and a high-quality figure (color). The latter may be of any format, but preferably: cdr, ps, eps, png, pcx, jpg, bmp; the more colors the better.

The deadline for Paper Submission is August 15,2003.

Addition information:

Dear Conference participants arriving at Tolmachevo Airport: Bus No. 108э makes regular trips with 1-hour intervals from the Bus Stop at the square in front of the Airport (at 6.20 a.m., 7.20. a.m., 8.20. a.m.,... during the entire daytime)and goes to the "Golden Valley" hotel in Akademgorodok. The trip takes 1 hour. The price of the bus ticket is 25 rubles.
