Numerical solution of differential and integral equations
An approach to numerical simulation of the seismic waves propagation from axially symmetric source placed within bore-hole filled with a fluid is proposed, justified and tested. This approach is based on the finite-difference schemes for staggered grids in cylindrical coordinate system. The original PML for axially-symmetric problem is developed, justified and tested. Numerical results for a range of typical situations are implemented and presented and discussed.
