Approximation of functions and quadrature formulas

An algorithm for the detection of the first arrivals of waves and estimation of the shape of seismic waves in the form of a quasi-periodic sequence of sounding pulses with a noise level higher than that of the signal is proposed. The efficiency of the algorithm has been proved by the numerical modeling of geophysical processes.
