Numerical modeling of 3D seismic filelds with PML boundary approach

The approach to simulate seismic waves propagation in heterogeneous 3D elastic media is proposed, developed and implemented for massive parallel computers. For the very beginning Laguerre's integral transformation with respect to time is used. In order to restrict the target area in 3D space we apply PML technique. Next Fourier transform with respect to lateral coordinates is applied in order to reduce the problem to the family of 1D boundary-value problems. In order to resolve these problems high-order finite-difference scheme is used. Finally iterative LSQR algorithm is applied for numerical resolution of huge system of linear algebraic equations with non-symmetric matrix. Numerical results are presented.
