Mathematical and Statistical Simulation in Problems of the Physics of Atmosphere, Ocean, and Environmental Protection
The new combined approach to the evolution description of three-dimensional perturbations on the pycnocline of a two-layered current is suggested. The model consists of one basic nonlinear equation and several linear elementary auxiliary equations for a determination of the non-stationary horizontal velocity vectors and the pressure gradient on the interface connected with stationary currents. These vectors are contained in the main equation only in nonlinear terms, i.e. in the terms of the second order of smallness. The method is suitable for moderately long waves of small but finite amplitude running in a pycnocline simultaneously on any angles. A validity of this approach to the solution of a number of planar problems of the nonlinear internal disturbance transformation is shown with the help of numerical experiments.
