Mathematical Simulation in Geophysical Problems. Electromagnetic Methods

The estimation of effect of multiscale unhomogeneties on the quasi-stationary electromagnetic fields

In our paper, we obtained the evaluations of the mean values of the electric, magnetic field intensities and the electric field density . Quasi-stationary Maxwell equations are considered for the fields in isotropic random inhomogeneous media under the condition that only statistical information is available about the fluctuations of parameters. The peculiarities of the problems suggested here are multiscale and fractal properties of the coefficients, which have logarithmic statistics. The theoretical results are confirmed by numerical modeling.
