High-Performance Computing, Parallel Methods and Algorithms in Geophysical Problems

Model of the gravitating gas systems: a parallel realization on supercomputer

A parallel realization of the numerical algorithms for the 3D simulation of transient processes in gravitating gas systems with self-consistent field in Cartesian coordinates is considered. The evolution of rotating gas is described by a system of gas dynamics equations and the Poisson equation for the gravitational potential. Detailed analysis of the contribution of each part of the algorithm into the total calculation time and the main characteristics of the parallel algorithm are presented.
