Computer system "Promoter Discovery" for search of regularities of transcription factor binding site locations in promoter regions of eukaryotic genes

We have explored regularities of positioning of transcription factor binding sites in promoter regions in eukaryotic genes. The computer system “Promoter Discovery” realizing methods of knowledge discovery and data mining was applied. Results obtained suggest that transcription regulation of eukaryotic gene is complex process involving interaction of multiple transcription factors specifically binding to gene regular regions.
