Modified finite volume method for singularly perturbated boundary value problems

Gurieva Y.L., Il'in V.P.

Institute of computational mathematics and mathematical geophysics (Novosibirsk)

Constructing of modified finite volume method is considered when applying the element-by-element technique in asembling the global balance matrix. The approach is tested on the problems with different singularities, e.g., angle points on the boundary of the computational domain, changing of the boundary conditions on some part of the boundary and the singularity in the vicinity of the point source.
