The report contains short historical information on the state-of-art of mathematical education in the mountianous republic of Daghestan, on today's level of mathematical personnel, on the problems of trainning higly-qualified specialists at the faculty of Mathematical and on the role played by Russian scientists in this aspect, on the achievements of Daghestan mathematicians, on the contribution of the graduates of NSU (the faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics) to the cause of further progress of the mathematical education in the Republic of Daghestan.
