Digital catalogue of vascular plants of Siberia is a part of digital library “Diversity of plants and animals of Siberia”, placed on the server of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences on address: http://www-sbras.nsc.ru/win/elbib/atlas/flora. Development of this catalogue has two main goals: 1) investigation of skill of modern computer technologies for organization of multi-users information system on vascular plants of Siberian region; 2) determination of effectiveness of work with digital information sources in comparison of paper publications. Important detail of the digital library is numerous colour illustrations and photos of plants in natural conditions. Now it is more fast to search of concrete species, firstly it is possible to obtain species sets by many parameters of searching (regions, habitats, morphological characters and others). Special direction of the development is creation of classifiers, which help in additional analitical tasks and production lists of species with ordering features. The development of this catalogue in prospect will be to involve vascular plants of Russian Far East. Citation of sources of information is garantee of copyrights. Investigations are supported by Siberian Branch of RAS (integrative grants numbers 66 and 145).
