The article is devoted to substantiation of a modified algorithm of calculation of the velocity field in the foci area on the basis of seismological data. Foci coordinates and time of the disturbance beginning are used as initial information for calculation of seismic waves velocity in the foci area. The principle of convertibility of velocity fields is assumed as basis of the described methods of calculation of pressure and shift waves (P- and S-waves) in 3-dimensional medium. It makes possible to reconstruct the motion of the reverse wave in the area of earthquakes foci. At the first stage, average velocity in the region is estimated, than the distribution of velocity fields in the area under consideration of the focal zone is calculated. Peculiarities of the proposed algorithm are examined in detail. At series of model calculations, accuracy of reconstruction of the velocity field at presence of errors in times and coordinates of theoretical foci is estimated. Capability of the algorithm to reconstruct gradient velocity layers is examined. The three-dimensional model of the velocity field of P waves in the area of Karymsky volcanic Centre in Kamchatka is submitted.
