Mathematical simulation of non-stationary electromagnetic fields arising at defectoscopy of casing strings of oil-and-gas wells

The one of the urgent problems of well logging is efficient control of casing strings, which are subjected to mechanical damages. For solving this problem electromagnetic defectoscopes were developed. This work is devoted to modeling of non-stationary electromagnetic fields which arise in the presence of different types of defects in the casing strings. Numerical schemes are implemented on the base of scalar and vector finite element methods in three-dimensional and axial-symmetric case,which allows to accurately simulate electromagnetic processes in the domains with discontinious material characteristics.
