Mathematical modelling of electromagnetic field generated by untraditional sources in cylindrical-layered medium

We consider the problems of electromagnetic excitation of cylindrical-layered medium by assumed external current (electrical and magnetic) which flows in one of a number of cylindrical boundaries of the geoelectric section. This definition of the electromagnetic field source permits us to provide great community of solutions of the problems concerned with carrying out of electrical and electromagnetic well logging. For example there are the problems of determination of electromagnetic field generated by horizontal axially symmetric current loop or generated by vertical electrical conductor grounded on the wellbore wall (external electrical current), as well there is the problem of determination of electromagnetic field generated by off-centered vertical magnetic dipole (external magnetic current).
