A new approach to the problem of Rayleigh wave propagation along the surface of nonhomogeneous elastic body

An analytical expression for Rayleigh wave propagating along the surface of anisotrpic nonhomogenous elastic body (and isotropic one as a particular case) of arbitrary shape is obtained using boundary layer method. Transport equations give the possibilities to obtain formulae for amplitude of the wave and ones for Berry phase.

The case of the isotropic elastic body is considered as a paricular case of the general theory and explicite formulae for Rayleigh wave are obtained.
