	THE SB RAS PRESIDIUM MEETING
	SPIRITUALITY, EDUCATION, UNITY The Day of Slavonic literature and culture is quite especial holiday. It signifies spiritual enlightenment, worldly science and culture, as well as unity of the brotherly Slavic peoples. This year Novosibirsk has become center of these celebrations; that is why they have already begun in the beginning of May.

	ON THE HEALTH OF SIBERIAN FIR Elena Bazhina, Candidate Sc.(Biology), scientific researcher of the V. Sukachev Institute of Forest of the SB RAS has won the SB RAS Academician A.Zhukov Prize in the field of forestry, silviculture and dendrology for the series of works "Study of the condition characteristics and the shrinkage features of Siberian fir in broken forest ecosystems of the Baikal Lake basin".
