	AT THE GENERAL MEETING OF THE RAS IN MOSCOW May, 18 the General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences held in Moscow in the Large Hall of the RAS at the Leninski Avenue has summed up the results of activities of the Academy for the reporting year.

	EXPEDITION TO THE MAIN MINE OF RUSSIA Determination of the demand for scientific production is one of the most urgent problems of today for the collectives of Academic institutes within the framework of formation of innovational policy of the Siberian Branch of the RAS. With this purpose the leaders of the Institute of Coal and Coal Chemistry the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science, reviving the traditions of the Russian Academy, has equipped an expedition to the Raspadskaya Mine, the main mine of Russia.
	DAYS OF SLAVONIC LITERATURE AND CULTURE AT THE ACADEMGORODOK On May, 21, 2004 a plenary session of inter-university conference "Value bases and reference points of Slavonic culture" held within the framework of the 5th Novosibirsk Cyril-and-Methodius Readings has taken place at the Large Hall of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS.
	ALL FLAGS WERE GESTS OF US In May days (from May, 17 till May, 21) the Ninth annual conference of the Russian Library Association (RLA) was held in Novosibirsk under the motto "Libraries: heart of information society". Thus our city for this time appeared a “Library Capital of Russia”.

Additionally he is master of sports, the President of the Tomsk Association of Rafting (along the mountain rivers).
	"DO NOT FORGET ME SUDDENLY, AND I‘LL REMEMBER YOU ETERNALLY" Under such a motto the touching meeting devoted to the memory of Boris Petrovich Malykh has taken place on April, 28 of this year in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok, at the Palace of Culture "Academy".
