	NEWS
	THE PROGRAM OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE SB RAS AND THE KRASNOYARSK IS SIGNED October, 12 the signing the program of scientific and technical cooperation between the Krasnoyarsk mining and chemical industrial complex and the institutes of the Siberian Branch of the RAS for 2005-2008 has taken place.
	HONORARY TITLE The rank of "Honourary Citizen of Irkutsk Region" is conferred to Director of the Institute of Solar and Terrestrial Physics of the SB RAS Academician Geliy Zherebtsov on October 10, the Day of the Region.
	ABOUT THE KIOTO PROTOCOL At the end of September the project of the Federal Law "On the ratification of the Kioto Protocol for the Framework Convention of the United Nations on the climate fluctuation" has been approved at the session of the RF Government and is was decided to present it to the President of the Russian Federation in accordance with established procedure.
