Almost for 40 years he works in Ulan-Ude where he has passed a career way up to Chairman of the Presidium of the BuryatSC of the Siberian Branch of the RAS.

	OLD RUSSIAN SPIRITUAL HERITAGE IN SIBERIA In the beginning of December an International scientific conference "Old Russian Spiritual Heritage in Siberia" devoted to the 40th anniversary of the beginning of archaeographic works in Siberia has taken place in Novosibirsk.

	IN MEMORIAM This winter Vladimir Ivanovich Matiushchenko, one of the oldest archaeologists of Western Siberia has died after severe short-term illness.
