	KNOWLEDGE DRIVES THE PROGRESS Traditional press conference devoted to the Day of Russian Science has taken place February, 8 at the District Information Center "Siberia".
	PROFESSOR N.P.ANISIMOVA IS 85 Congratulation of the Presidium of the SB RAS.
	ACADEMIC MEDALS FOR THE SCIENTIFIC YOUTH The presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences has decided to award the medals of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the prizes at the rate of thirty thousand roubles each for young scientists of the RAS, other establishments and the organizations of Russia according to the results of the competition of 2005.
	RESULTS OF THE COMPETITIONS OF THE FOUNDATION FOR THE ASSISTANCE TO DOMESTIC SCIENCE The Board of guardians of the Foundation for the assistance to domestic science has named the winners in the nomination «Outstanding scientists». The board of guardians and the Commission of experts of the Foundation have also named the winners of the competitions in the nominations «The best post-graduate students of the RAS» and «Candidates and Doctors of Sciences of the RAS».
	THE NOVOSIBIRSK REGIONAL ADMINISTRATION SUPPORTS YOUNG SCIENTISTS
	THE TECHNOPARK BUSINESS CONCEPT APPROVED At the working meeting of the participants of the project on the creation of a modern scientific and technological center in the Capital of Siberian Science, held February, 2 in Novosibirsk, the business concept of technopark is approved. It is the first program document regulating the processes of creation and the system of control of similar projects.
	PROMOTION TO «THE LAND OF PRECISION» A fundamental contribution to the researches on laser spectroscopy made by the founder and the first director of the Institute of Laser Physics of the SB RAS Academician Veniamin Chebotaev (1938-1992) and the other scientists of the Institute were especially marked in the information report of the Nobel Committee on Physics.
	LONG LIVE WE! The Center of proteomic researches at the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine of the SB RAS, working in the mode of a multiple-access center have stirred to activity during the last months.
	THE BAIKAL NEUTRINO TELESCOPE In the Baikal Lake at a kilometer depth the Irkutsk physicists every winter are mounting one of the most unusual telescopes of the World.
