	INMOST DEPTHS OF THE PRINCE’S MOUNTAINS In 1924 the Mongol-Tibetan expedition of the great Russian traveler Petr Kuzmich Kozlov to the Noin-Ula Mountains had dug out a tomb of a Mongolian ruler who lived in the beginning of Common Era. During the last 2006 the shovels of Russian archeologists have disturbed again the secluded spurs of the Prince’s Mountains (so their name is translated from Mongolian). The works at the world- famous monument have been renewed by the expedition of Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the SB RAS jointly with the Institute of Archeology of Mongolia.
	"NANO-2007" March, 13 the 2nd All-Russian Conference on nanomaterials was opened at the House of Scientists of the SB RAS. Simultaneously with it the 4th Russian and Byelorussian International workshop «Nanostructured materials-2007» has began to work.
	COMPREHENDING THE SECRETS OF THE NORTHEN COUNTRY March, 29, 2007 Dmitri Dmitrievich Savvinov, Doctor Sc. (Biology), Professor, Full member of the Academy of sciences Republic Saha (Yakutia), Director of the Institute of Applied Ecology of the North of the RC(Y) Academy of Sciences, well-known all over the Russia scientist in the field of soil hydrology and applied ecology is 75 years old.
	THE BEST OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS In the last number the "SiS" informed, that the International Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Society Award for 2007 in the nomination "The best young scientist» was given to the researcher of the ICCC of the SB RAS, Candidate Sc. (Physics and Mathematics) Leonid Kulik.

	FOR THE TREATMENT OF SPINAL CORD DISEASES The scientists of the Irkutsk Institute of Solar and Terrestrial Physics of the SB RAS together with the experts of the East-Siberian Center of low-invasive neurosurgery of the East-Siberian Scientific Center of the SB RAMS are developing a technique for the creation of hardware-software complex for the electrostimulation of spinal cord.

	GENEALOGIC FINDS There are two notes in the Large Soviet Encyclopedia, one of which is devoted to the artist, portraitist Alexandr Grigorievich Varnek (1782-1843), and another – to the scientist, biologist Nikolai Aleksandrovich Varnek (30.03.1821-1876).
	TRADE-UNION CONFERENCE OF THE NSC SB RAS March, 12 a regular report-back election conference of the Trade-union organization of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS has taken place at the House of Scientists of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok.
