	HARRY BIRTHDAY, ALMA MATER! January, 9, 1958 the USSR Council of Ministers has adopted the resolution to found the Novosibirsk State University.
	THE AWARDS OF THE MOTHERLAND According to the RF Presidential decree No 33 of January, 11, 2008 a large group of the workers of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is put forward to the State awards of the Russian Federation.
	THE LORD OF PULSE ENERGIES Academician V.M.Kovalchuk is one of the leading experts all over the world in the field high-current pulse engineering, the creator of a lot of high-current accelerators and pulse energy installations of national and international scale. In 2007 he was awarded with the IV degree Order «For the services to Motherland» and the Demidov Prize winner.
	THE REGIONAL ADMINISTRATION FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS December, 27, 2007 at the Novosibirsk Regional Administration the individual scholarships, grants and prizes were delivered to post-graduates and young scientists of the scientific institutes and higher education institutions of Novosibirsk. There is a large group of the SB RAS researchers among the award recipients.

	AT THE PRESIDIUM OF THE SB RAS The last in 2007 session of the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of December, 27 began with festive mood, congratulating the award recipients.
	RUSSIA - CHINA: DEVELOPING THE MECHANISMS OF INTERACTION According to the invitation of the Permanent committee of All-Chinese Assembly of People’s Representatives, the State Council of Chinese People's Republic and the Academy of Sciences of China, the delegation of the SB RAAS led by the Chairman of the SB RAS Academician N.L.Dobretsov has visited the Chinese People's Republic during the period from December, 3 to December, 7, 2007 with official visit.
	THE SB RAS - URUMCHI BRIDGE OF COOPERATION At the end of October an Exhibition - presentation of scientific and technical development of the SB RAS Institutes has taken place at Urumchi (Chinese People's Republic).
	THE PROJECT IS REALIZED TOGETHER WITH MALAYSIA There remained, perhaps, very few points on the globe where the scientists of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences have not visited. Deputy director of the Institute Solid State Chemistry and Mechanochemistry Doctor Sc. Oleg Ivanovich Lomovski, for example, has visited exotic Malaysia at the end of 2007.
	THE CONFERENCE ON THE OCCASION OF "GOLD" ANNIVERSARY The Geological Institute of the SB RAS has held a conference "The problems of geology, mineral resources and geo-ecology of the Western Transbaikalia", devoted to the 50th anniversary of the Red Labour Banner Order Buryat Geological board.

	THE TOMSK SPECIAL ECONOMIC AREA NEEDS TO BE BUILT ALL TOGETHER The Governor of the Tomsk Region Victor Kress often calls the creation of the Special economic area in Tomsk "the Tomsk priority national project", emphasizing its huge value for the entire Region.
	"START" FOR HIGH TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS! In the beginning of December, 2007 a seminar "Commercialization of scientific development and intellectual property" has been held at the Novosibirsk Academgorodok. There were the results discussed concerning the realization of the "START" State program aimed at the support of small innovation enterprises.
	TEMPTATION BY THE NORTH A book by M.K.Gavrilova "My generation with burnt wings" has been issued where she has wrote about herself, Soviet Union, Yakutia and the Institute of Permafrost of the SB RAS.
	WHAT IS LAW? One of the scientific results obtained within the Sector of General State and Law Theory of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the SB RAS in 2007, is a novel concept of law understanding.
	VACANCIES
	RESULTS OF 2007 AND UNSOLVED SOCIAL PROBLEMS 2007 that was successful in many social and economic parameters for scientific community and trade union has finished.
