	ACADEMIC PRIZE-WINNERS November, 10 the Presidium of the RAS adopted the resolution on awarding with the prizes named after outstanding scientists - 2009. There are scientists of the Siberian Branch among the winners.
	THE SB RAS, NSU AND TOHOKU UNIVERSITY: FORMULA OF COOPERATION November, 18 the negotiations of the heads of the Siberian Branch and the NSU with the delegation of Tohoku University (Japan) took place at the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS.
	"HISTORICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SIBERIA" November, 12 at the Novosibirsk Regional museum of local lore the presentation of a unique scientific reference edition, three-volume "Historical Encyclopedia of Siberia" has taken place.

	A ZOO OF GENOMES The International consortium of biological scientists begins one of the most ambitious research works, comparable with respect to the scope with the physicists’ construction of the hadron collider. They are planning to carry out a comprehensive genome analysis for 10 thousand vertebrate animals species, including fishes, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals, i.e. to create as a result a certain "genome zoo".
	CRYOZONE, THE CLIMATE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSBAIKALIA The problem of global climatic change is rather urgent problem of the present. If in the middle of the 20th century a man-caused influence on the environment was considered as a principal cause of the changes, today representations have been recognized concerning the rhythm of the changes due to natural process of the Earth development.
	A NEW MUSEUM BEING BORN The idea to create a museum reflecting the history of the development of astrophysical researches in Eastern Siberia wandered for a long time. But as known, the embodiment of any dream depends first of all on the one who would undertake accomplishing it. I think, astrophysicists have had luck that the person not indifferent and participial to many events undertook the creation of the museum.
	TRANSBAIKALIAN GREEN TEMPLE In the capital of the Transbaikalian territory the city of Chita, a botanical garden, despite of all the hardship of its becoming, nevertheless exists! If during fifteen years it was an inaccessible scientific institute, for the last four years it surprises and pleases the visitors of the territory and transbaikalians with its green expositions.

	TRADE UNION MEETING WITH THE LEADERS OF THE SB RAS The meeting of the Trade-union activists of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center with the leaders of the SB RAS was held on the last day of October at the "Gold Coast" boarding house.
	THE NSU STUDENTS MEETING WITH THE UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATION November, 25 at 18:00 at the Maltsev auditorium a meeting with the NSU administration to be held organized according to numerous requests of the NSU students’ trade union.
	THE SCHOOL FOR INQUISITIVE PUPILS In autumn of 2009 within the framework of the education programs of the Scientific and Education Center of the Novosibirsk State University "Molecular design and ecologically appropriate technologies" a new fascinating project has been started such as free-of-charge chemistry courses for schoolchildren.
	SEARCHING FOR THE SOLUTION OF "CHILDREN'S" PROBLEMS The problem of getting vacancies at preschool children's establishments was and remains urgent not only for a separate district, but also for a all the Russia. In the Siberian Branch this problem is almost solved for today.
	CHESS ACADEMIAD-2009 From November, 6 to November, 8 an inter-regional chess Academiad has taken place at the NSC chess club.
