	THE ERSHOV INSTITUTE OF INFORMATICS SYSTEMS IS 20 YEARS OLD!
	THE "ENERGY - IMPULSE" AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE INP May, 1, 1990 the first issue of the "Energy - Impulse" house organ of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the SB RAS has been published. Twenty years has passed, but the INP and its newspaper are still together.
	WORKING FOR THE FUTURE Physics and engineering of the accelerators of charged particles is one of the basic fields of activity of the Institute of Nuclear Physics.
	SEARCHING FOR NEW SOLUTIONS Interesting experiments have been carried out and important results obtained in the field of "Physics of high-temperature plasma" at the Institute of Nuclear Physics for the last five years.
	NEW PROSPECTS All over the world the sources of electromagnetic radiation based on electron beams such as the sources of synchrotron radiations (SR), free electron lasers (FEL) represent the infrastructure for the development of various sciences, including physics, chemistry, biology, material science, as well as for the development of technologies. So, in the USA the largest nanotechnological centers founded at five State laboratories possess SI sources.

	DRIVING FORCE OF A CREATIVE COLLECTIVE In March of this year Alexander Anatolievich Zemlianov, Doctor Sc. (Physics and Mathematics), head of the Laboratory of Nonlinear Optic interactions of the Zuev Institute of Athmospheric Optics of the SB RAS celebrated his 60th anniversary.
	SCIENTIFIC SUPERSESSION: THE BUSINESS OF EXTREME IMPORTANCE There is a popular belief that the situation with the inflow of young forces into Russian science is worse than whenever before. Our meeting with three young Doctors of physical and mathematical sciences, the researchers of the Lavrentiev Institute of hydrodynamics of the SB RAS disproves this hackneyed notion.
	NANOTECHNOLOGIES IN YAKUTIA For the last time the sudies in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies are getting an increasing scope. In Yakutia many scientific institutes, higher education institutions and some research-and-production companies are engaged in this problem.

Some of them battled at the fronts with proud names "regimental son", others took part in "rail wars" in guerrilla groups, the third of them helped to sow and harvest corn, mined coal, worked at machine tools, but there were also those who simply studied to write the first letters in cold classrooms of delapidated schools, and those who simply grew... In fact the main feat of childhood was to survive within those severe years.
