	AWARD OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES – TO YOUNG SCIENTISTS Two graduate students of the Khristianovich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of SB RAS, Tatiana Borisova and Artem Filippov, have been awarded the RAS Gold Medal.
	FRENCH PRIZE FOR RUSSIAN POSTDOCTORAL STUDENTS The Service Science, Technology and Space (SSTE) of French Embassy in Russia will provide the 2012 award in the form of two grants consisting of 4000 Euros each to post-doctoral students - citizens of Russia. The award will be named after Mikhail Alekseevich Lavrentiev.
	RUSSIA WILL FINANCE RESEARCH MEGAPROJECTS IN 2013 Within the next year Russia may allocate additional funds from the budget for the development of scientific megaprojects in Russia and abroad, in particular the XFEL project, being implemented in Germany with the participation of Russia.
	TSC OF SB RAS: A BREAKTHROUGH STRATEGY A General Meeting of the Tomsk Scientific Center of SB RAS has been held on March 26. It has summed up the results not only for the past 2011, but for the five recent years.
	A BOAT NAMED MOTHER-EARTH The meeting with Director of the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy of SB RAS Academician Nikolay Petrovich Pokhilenko has taken place on the eve of the International Earth Day - April 22.
	XIX RUSSIAN SYNCHROTRON RADIATION CONFERENCE SR-2012 The XIX International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation will be held from June 25 through June 28, 2012 at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of SB RAS (Novosibirsk).
