	THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION GOVERNMENT PRIZE - TO SIBERIANS A Decree on awarding 30 prizes of the Russian Federation Government in Science and Technology for 2012, has been signed by D.A. Medvedev on February 27. Among the winners - two groups of researchers, one of which consists completely of Siberians, and the other one includes almost one half of Siberians.

	“DON’T SAY WITH DESPAIR: THEY DO NOT EXIST, BUT WITH GRATITUDE: THEY DID EXIST” Elena Konstantinovna Romodanovskaya passed away on January 15, 2013. She was not only one of the luminaries of Russian Slavonic studies, but also a person of wide interests and talents, a great storyteller and conversationalist, a caring teacher for her students.
	FIVE FEMALE PORTRAITS These women were neither famous nor glorified. However, their portraits are rather well known, as far as they are available in permanent collections of Russian museums.
