	SCIENCE IS A LIFE CREDO OF SCIENTIST April 1 marks the 80th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Andriyanovich Batugin - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
	GENERAL MEETING OF THE YaSC OF SB RAS A General annual meeting of the Yakut Scientific Center of SB RAS has taken place in Yakutsk on March 22. Here, the main results of activities of YaSC for the past year have been summed up and the tasks for the current year have been identified.
	MILITARY INDUSTRIAL CONFERENCE The Military Industrial Conference “Actual problems of the development of military industrial complex of the Russian Federation” dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Military Industrial Commission of the USSR has been held at the Great Hall of the RF Government House on March 20.
	ASIAN FORUM ON ACCELERATORS The Fourth Asian Forum on Accelerators and Detectors (AFAD-2013) has been held at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics of SB RAS on February 25-26.
	ARCTIC – TEST OF STRENGTH An International Scientific and Technical Seminar “Ways of improving reliability of large-size metal constructions for critical applications when used in difficult climatic conditions of the Far North and the Arctic” has been held at the Yakutsk Scientific Center of SB RAS.
	WATER RESOURCES DAY A Press Conference devoted to the World Water Resources Day has been held at the SB RAS Presidium on March 19. The World Water Resources Day is celebrated on March 22, first being declared as such by the UN General Assembly in 1993.
	A HUNDRED PROFESSIONS FOR RADICALS It is about time to celebrate anniversaries for the Institutes of Siberian Branch. The 55th anniversary of the Novosibirsk Vorozhtsov Institute of Organic Chemistry is near at hand. There are a lot of great, competent, respected professionals among the employees, but special attention should be paid to the Laboratory of Nitrogen Compounds.
	THOSE CREATING COLD An introductive tour over the Cryogenic Plant of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of SB RAS.
	“WE HAVE ENOUGH INNOVATIVE POWER ...” In March this year, the grant committee of the Skolkovo Innovation Center has approved the research project of LLC “Tekhnoscan – Lab” on the development of energy-efficient intelligent laser systems of a new generation for info-, nano-and biotechnologies.
	SCIENTISTS ARE INVOLVED IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME By Decree of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 2013 has been declared the Year of Village. Scientists of the Yakut Scientific Center of SB RAS take an active part in these events.
	UNIVERSITIES OF FRANCE AND RUSSIA – COOPERATION IN THE LEAGAL FIELD The lectures of French specialist Marc de Montpellier, teaching at universities of Belgium and Italy, as well as at the University of Beirut (Lebanon) have taken place at the SPSL of SB RAS on March 20. Topics of the lectures have been as following: “Actual problems of human rights” and “Actual problems of international financial law”.
	THE LARGEST IT FORUM STARTS IN NOVOSIBIRSK The Forum “Siberian Industry of Information Systems” (SIIS) will for the fifth time take place in Novosibirsk Academgorodok on April 24-25. It will bring together more than four hundred participants and will be a place of concentration of the latest country’s IT developments.
	VACANCIES
	SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION FOR YOUNG MOTOCYCLISTS Motorcyclists - children aged 8-14 have to overcome more than 300 km on the ice of Lake Baikal within five days. The first Children's research expedition has started on the ice of Lake Baikal on the World Meteorological Day, March 23.
	DISTRICT LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE March 26, 2013 marks a significant date - the 55th anniversary of the foundation of the Soviet District of Novosibirsk. A solemn meeting devoted to the anniversary has been held at the House of Scientists of SB RAS.
