	SCIENTIFIC AND SCIENCE ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES OF THE SB RAS IN MAY

	AWARD NAMED AFTER N.YE.ZHUKOVSKY - TO ITAM! Not a single new plane got off the ground without a great number of preliminary tests in wind tunnels. When designing new wind tunnels, there occur aerodynamic pulsations, which should be minimized or eliminated. Employees of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of SB RAS are perfectly able to solve these problems. The 2012 Award named after N.Ye. Zhukovsky has become a sign of high recognition of the collective’s services.
	MEDAL OF RAS FOR SECRETS OF RECOMBINATION A significant and joyful event has happened for the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of SB RAS – its three employees have received 2012 medals and awards of RAS for young scientists.
	INNOVATIONS REQUIRE INVESTMENTS The Krasnoyarsk Regional Science Foundation was originally established by a resolution of the regional Council of People's Deputies of November 4, 1992. Now the Foundation has changed its status, its funding has been significantly increased and correspondingly the funds for implementation of innovation developments of scientists have been increased too.
	INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT – PRIORITY OF THE INSTITUTE OF MINING Participation of the Chinakal Institute of Mining of SB RAS in the Hannover Fair - an example of the realization of M.A. Lavrentiev’s “triangle” in the XXI century.
	EXHIBITION IN MINSK The 16th International Specialized Exhibition “Automation, Electronics-2013” has been held in Minsk from March 12 through March 15, 2013.

	BIG HEART A month ago Gury Ivanovich Marchuk passed away. Today the editorial staff of “SiS” Weekly have decided to once again remind about this man, but now in the light of the perception of his dearest person, the eldest son – A.G. Marchuk, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Director of the Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems of SB RAS.

	“NATIONAL HERITAGE OF RUSSIA” Diana Vlasova, a pupil of the Novosibirsk Lyceum № 22, has received this year a Victory Diploma and the highest award of the VII All-Russian competition of achievements of talented young people - the Silver plaque “National Treasure of Russia”.

	MAN AND SPACE On the Day of Astronautics it was rather noisy at the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of SB RAS. The III Interregional Scientific Conference for schoolchildren “Man and Space” has taken place here.
