	THE YENISEY RIVER RADIOECOLOGICAL RESEARCH Doctor of Biological Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Radioecology of Institute of Biophysics of SB RAS Alexander Yakovlevich Bolsunovsky was 60 on July 25. Alexander Yakovlevich is one of the initiators and the leader of radio-ecological studies on the Yenisei River. His team has received a number of important results for the world science. Anniversary is a great occasion to talk about some of them.
	THE STATE PUBLIC SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL LIBRARY OF SB RAS IS 95 Congratulations from the SB RAS Presidium.
	SPSL OF SB RAS IS 95: CHAPTERS OF PROUD HISTORY In October, the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of the SB RAS will be 95. The largest library over the Urals knows in its history two dates of birth, two equal in importance periods.
	COMPETITION ANNOUNCED The Government of the Novosibirsk region has announced competitions for the award of nominal prizes, scholarships and grants for young scientists, graduate and doctoral students.
	URBAN SPACE IN RUSSIAN CULTURE The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Culture of urban space: the government, business and civil society in maintaining and spreading the cultural traditions of Russia” will be held in Omsk on November 12-13.
	THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF GRADUATES HAS BEEN HELD IN NSU The idea of holding the meeting has appeared a year ago. The NSU graduates of international diaspora have proposed to arrange the meeting. The main purpose of the Congress was to unite the former students of the university, bring them to the challenges faced by the NSU.
	INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON TRADITIONAL MEDICINE The VI International Scientific Conference “Traditional medicine: ways of integration with modern health care” has been held at the Institute of General and Experimental Biology (Ulan-Ude) from August 15 through August 17, 2013.
	TAIWAN - SB RAS: COOPERATION GOES ON A delegation of the National Science Council of Taiwan has visited the Siberian Branch from September 6 through September 11.
	AREAS OF COMMON INTEREST In the framework of joint Russian-Taiwanese projects, a delegation of the National Science Council of Taiwan has visited the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
	SYMPOSIUM ON MATERIAL PROCESSING The Taiwan-Russia Bilateral Symposium on Material Processing at Micro and Nano Level has been held in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok from September 9 through September 15.

	MY MEMORIES OF VENIAMIN PAVLOVICH CHEBOTAEV August 27 has marked 75 years since the birth of prominent scientist in the field of laser physics Academician V.P. Chebotaev (1938 - 1992).
