In V.K. Ivanov's publications it was provided mathematical justification for two methods for solving ill-posed if there exists an additonal a priori information about an unknown solution. If the solution is an element of a given compact set, V.K. Ivanov proposed the quasisolutions method. In this case it is possible to calculate an error estimate also. If the solution is sourcewise represented with a completely continuous operator then a stable approximate solution can be found with help of proposed by V.K. Ivanov the method of extended compacts. It is possible to calculate so called a posteriori error estimate. Practical applications of these two approaches are demonstrated.
