A.S.Alekseev The international conference “Mathematical Methods in Geophysics-2008” will be held in Akademgorodok (in the vicinity of Novosibirsk) on October 13-15, 2008. The Conference is devoted to the memory of Anatoly S. Alekseev, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, who would be 80 on October 12, 2008. The Conference will cover important mathematical problems of modern geophysics.

The registration fee for foreign participants is 250$(USA).
This sum covers Conference Proceedings, rent of Conference Hall, equipment, transportation, coffee breaks, and social program.

The conference will take place in the House of Scientists of Novosibirsk Academgorodok and the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics SB RAS.

The official languages of Conference will be Russian and English.

Publication:

Accepted papers will be published in MMG-2008 Conference Proceedings on CD-discs.

The size of articles must not exceed 6 pages.
The paper format must be A4. Leave a margin of 3 cm on all sides. The basic font must be Times Roman 12 pt.
Manuscripts should be prepared in the following formats:

Deadline for the submission of manuscripts is September 1, 2008.
All papers are reviewed by specialists, and therefore early contributions are welcome.
The authors will be notified about the acceptance of their contributions for publication in the course of the reviewing process, but not later than September 5, 2008.

  1. September 1, 2008 - Registration form and abstract deadline.
  2. September 1, 2008 - Manuscript deadline.
  3. September 12, 2008 - Notification of manuscript acceptance.
  4. October 12, 2008 – Arrival of participants.
  5. October 13, 2008 – Registration of participants.
  6. October 12, 2008 – Departure of participants.
